Welcome to Feeding Talk. I am an independent Speech and Language therapist offering a high quality service to you and your child.  I work closely with parents, families and other professionals to help preschool children with speech, language, communication and/or feeding difficulties.

I work with children who have:

  • Physical and / or sensory feeding, eating and drinking difficulties
  • Swallowing difficulties
  • Eating/drinking difficulties related to social communication difficulties/autistic spectrum disorder
  • Learning difficulties/developmental delay that impacts on communication/language development
  • Language delay/disorder
  • Speech sound difficulties
  • Social communication difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder
  • Word-finding and/or memory difficulties
  • Low tech Alternative and Augmentative communication (e.g. Makaton signs, PECS, communication boards/books)

How I can help:

  • Helping each child reach their full potential though effective therapy, positive outcomes and continuity of care
  • Taking a holistic approach to assessment and therapy
  • Recognising the importance of early experiences (e.g. traumatic birth, early medical interventions) and the impact this has on development, wellbeing and the wider family
  • Developing functional skills alongside building developmental skills
  • Recognising every child is unique
  • Using a child’s strengths to support them in working on areas of need/ difficulty
